END OF 2021/2022 THIRD TERM REPORT
APPRECIATION
We have every reason to lift up our hands and praise the Lord for a successful completion of the 2021/2022 session. We thank you our good and dear parents for your understanding of, and trust in us, your sacrifice and commitment to the training of your children. May you live long and be healthy to reap the fruits of your labour over these children when your dreams and theirs become realised.
RESUMPTION OF THIRD TERM
This just ended third term began successfully on the 9th of May, 2022 and ended peacefully on the 29th of July 2022.
CORPERS IN SCHOOL SERVICE
The school had in her service, three gentlemen Corpers. They have been helping the school work in teaching some school subjects and assisting in the hostel work. They are Messrs Olarewaju Olaoye, Civics; Bolarinwa Babatunde, Social Studies and Adedeji Oyeleye, Agric Science. The school has been enjoying their services.
SENDFORTH PROGRAMMES
The immediate past Chairman of the Governing Board of OAUIS and the Vice- Chancellor of OAU, Professor Eyitope, O. Ogunbodede had sendforth programmes organised in his honour on Tuesday 14th June and Wednesday 6th July 2022 for his meritorious service and achievements for the school during his tenure. May God continue to prosper his ways as he chart a new course of life after leaving the office.
COURTESY VISIT TO THE NEW VICE-CHANCELLOR
The staff of OAUIS represented by a team of teachers led by the Principal made a courtesy call to the new Vice-Chancellor of OAU, Professor Adebayo Simeon Bamire in his office. The team was warmly recieved.
SUBSTANTIVE PRINCIPAL
OAUIS got a new substantive Principal in the person of Mr D.A Osifade and has assumed duty immediately. May God work with him.
E-Library
There is work in progress on the OAUIS magnificent E-library in the school, a project of the PTA.
DONATION
A white interactive smart board was donated to the School in June from the office of the Vice-Chancellor, OAU. It was thankfully received but we look forward to more. It shall be put to proper productive use.
EXAMINATION
Series of examinations held in the school in the just concluded term. The Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) of National Examination Council (NECO) and Osun State; the Unified Tertiary and Matriculation Examination; the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) of the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) and NECO; and the promotion Examination of the school for JSS1, JSS2, SS1 and SS2
The result of the UTME had since been released and our students had very impressive scores. We have a large number of them who scored above 300 and the highest being 347 in person of Ayanlade Jesusferanmi. We thank God for these ones who maximise their potentials, the utility of the effort of their teachers, and sacrifice of their parents, as if they vowed that “the Labour of our ‘heroes past’ shall never be in vain”, and as they learnt with their heart and might. We hope they will replicate same in other exams done and ahead.
RELEASE OF EXAMINATION RESULT
The results of the last examination that determined the promotion status of our students have been finalized and would be published online in a short moment. Collated answer scripts are available for collection in the school
